We take orders from New Zealand and Australian locations only, and do not ship to other international countries.

Online Security

Velo Espresso (trading as is proud to be associated with Shopify Payments, who use Stripe Payments. New Zealand's largest and most preferred payment gateway provider. Velo Espresso does not collect or store any credit card information. This information is all processed by Stripe/Paypal/Afterpay/Zip.

SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) is a method of ensuring that information submitted through your website is secure and cannot be accessed by unauthorised users. When a site offers an SSL-secured form, the information submitted via that form (typically credit card information) is encrypted using a special certificate key and then decrypted with another key after it has been transmitted. When users access a site secured with SSL using their browser, a symbol displays in their browser windows indicating that the site is secure.

Consumer Guarantees Act 1993

The Consumer Guarantee Act sets out minimum standards for goods sold by Velo Espresso. In the event that goods sold are not of good quality or are faulty, the customer has the right to a repair, replacement or a refund.

Fair Trading Act 1986

The Fair Trading Act is designed to protect the customer being misled, either intentionally or unintentionally. This applies to all aspects of the promotion and sale of goods and services including: pricing; where the product was made; where the product is from; the meeting of New Zealand safety standards; availability of products in store and the sales techniques used. The Commerce Commission enforces the Fair Trading Act 1986.

Pricing & Payments

All pricing shown is in New Zealand Dollars and includes GST (Goods and Services Tax) at 15%. Prices on the website: are for online purchases. We take care to ensure prices are current, although they are subject to change at any time without notice.

Australian customers are required to pay in Australian Dollars. We do not accept any other international currency. Your credit card issuer may apply charges for currency conversion. Velo Espresso/ Velo Workshop will not cover the cost of these charges or accept responsibility for any currency conversion charges.

Delivery Policy

We have a large range of products on our online store and not all these items are held in stock. Some items will be drop shipped from the New Zealand importer. If the importer is out of stock of your ordered item, we will notify you. If any items in your order are out of stock you will have the option to backorder until the item arrives, have part delivery of your order or cancel the entire order. Note: you will only be charged for items sent to you.

Items are generally shipped within 3 days of placing your order. We deliver to all addresses within New Zealand and delivery usually takes around 1 week. Delivery costs are calculated when you confirm your order. We offer freight free ordering on all packages over $99+. If your order is under $99 we charge a flat rate of $9 for North Island. $12 for South Island, Waiheke Island and Rural delivery and $25 for Bike Frames/ Bikes or extra large/ heavy orders. We review these charges from time to time and the checkout system will reflect the current freight charge.

If you wish to pick up from our store, please select this option at checkout and you will not be charged a delivery fee. Our store is located at: 11 Kent Street, Frankton, Hamilton.

Exchange Policy

Please note each item purchased is quality control checked prior to being sent out. Our product is sourced from the genuine New Zealand importer and comes with original manufacturer warranties. Generally, warranty does not cover damage resulting from misuse, wear and tear or accidents. All purchases are covered under the Consumer Guarantees Act and Fair Trading Act as set out above.

In the event of an exchange, items are subject to product availability. The customer will incur any shipping costs for returning items to be exchanged. We can only exchange an item for a different style, and colour subject to our stock availability. Exchanged items can only be dispatched after the returned goods have been received (within ten days) and undergone a quality control check back at head office. Please be aware that you will incur an additional freight charge for the delivery of the replacement item.

Please note: if we receive your return in a condition which we feel is not fit for exchange or refund we shall get in touch with you to discuss next steps. Velo Espresso reserves the right to refuse a return or exchange for any item sent back in a condition where the item has been used or damaged. Only items which Velo Espresso can confirm as new and unused will be eligible for a return or exchange, so that they have reached our returns department within the time frame outlined above.

New Zealand Law

Any goods supplied or sold by Velo Espresso, are sold or supplied under contract of New Zealand Law. The Laws of sale and contract by any other country do not apply.
